Joined this week by special guest Kelly Frew, Events Director and Founder of Story Maker Events Ltd, Jack and Ellan hear tales of the Big Brother house, meeting David Attenborough and the merits of chartering your own plane.
For over 20 years Kelly has been involved in events in the media and travel industries and her experience, along with her positivity and enthusiasm, has helped her to seamlessly pivot into the world of large-scale, global virtual events. She is currently leading the inaugural events and PR activity for P&O’s newest cruise ship – and on the look out for new team members!
But she doesn’t stop there! Like so many in the events industry, she has multiple projects running alongside each other. A podcaster herself, she hosts the Events for Breakfast podcast, and she is a mentor with Fast Forward 15; inspiring, encouraging and empowering young women in the events and hospitality industries.
Starting out as a dancer and entertainments manager, her journey in the field of events has taken her all over the world and she has worked for some very established organisations, such as the BBC. A firm believer that it’s all about the user experience and user journey, she stresses that getting the detail right is crucial – as well as the ability to persuade and influence. And we couldn’t agree more!
