Event Consultant, freelance event manager and University Lecturer Paul Walters chats to Jack and Ellan in this episode, sharing insights into his career and how he found himself getting bitten by the events bug.
With a Masters in Architecture, Paul originally went down the design route working in town planning and urban redevelopment, when a friend asked him to get involved in producing an exhibition at the Design Museum in London with 180 university students. He agreed and hasn’t looked back.
Paul has been involved in a wide mix of international sporting, fashion and music events, including a unique and exciting Danish festival that incorporates sustainability, inclusivity and volunteering on a logistical level never seen in the UK!
Seizing every opportunity to learn and experience all aspects of organising and delivering events has given Paul a solid foundation and a wide range of practical expertise, He now passes this wisdom on to his students at Staffordshire University, whilst continuing to manage events and act as a consultant to other event managers. Yet another “event lifer”.
